We founded Gioia in 2021 with the belief that joy is to be found in our most meaningful relationships, the ones that stood the test of time and stuck with us through thick and thin.

We let this belief inform every decision we made, right from the family members who inspired our timeless collections to the materials we crafted them in. And in the process, we hoped we were able to capture this essence of joy and convey it to you as best we could.

As we move forward and reflect on our journey so far, we realise that our story would be incomplete, had it not been for the people working relentlessly behind the scenes to make it all possible. 

With over 25 years of experience and skills that have been handed down for generations, our craftsmen are the highlight of our team and truly the reason why we’re able to do what we do.

Given that our parent company is a leather goods export house, it’s been great to witness the exquisite workmanship that Indian artisans are capable of and the accolades they have garnered from global luxury brands over time. 

While even today, there are instances when the ‘Made in India’ tag is met with specticism, the narrative is changing gradually and we hope Gioia can play a small role in helping it do so.
